Codsall is recorded in the Doomsday Book of 1086 as having a population of six
people, today the population of the Parish is around 8,000.
The village has extensive leisure facilities including a swimming pool and a sports hall
The Village Hall hosts a cricket club, football ground and a drama group as well as
providing a venue for many other activities. Village Hall Website
The main shopping area around The Square has an excellent range of shops, cafes,
restaurants, public houses,a bank, and building society.  A doctor’s surgery, dental
practice and library are also located close to the village centre.
There are three primary/first schools, a middle school and a high school within
Codsall as well as two pre schools.
The rural location of Codsall is still associated with a mixture of arable and livestock
farming as well as substantial areas  of land now given over to leisure use, particularly
equine.
